HOW TO APPLY PATCHES
- Grab the supplies .
Get the supplies you need to iron the patch onto your clothes
- Iron
- Ironing board
- Clothes
- Baking paper
- Patch
- Turn on the iron
The temperature of the iron depends on the fabric you want to iron the patch on. The highest possible setting is preferred. For fabrics that cannot be ironed, we recommend using textile glue to attach the patch. For items such as wallets or bags that cannot be machine washed, you can also use superglue
Make sure that the iron's water tank is empty and the steam function is off.
- Lay the clothes flat on the ironing board
Lay the garment/item that the patch will be on flat on the ironing board. To ensure that the surface for the patch is as flat as possible, iron the area where the patch will be placed first
- Place the patch on the chosen location.
Place the patch on your garment. The adhesive side should be flat on the fabric where you want it.
- Place a sheet of baking paper over the patch.
When you place the baking paper over the patch, be careful not to accidentally move the patch . The baking paper protects the patch and the surrounding fabric.
- Place the heated iron on the patch.
Press the iron with circular movements on the fabric. Hold the iron with a circular movement on the patches for about 60 seconds. The heat of the iron bonds the adhesive layer of the patch to the garment.
For better adhesion of the patch, turn the garment inside out and iron the garment again from the inside or back for better adhesion.
If you have a printing press, then press for 12-15 seconds at 160 degrees and place baking paper on the patch
- Remove the iron and allow the patch to cool.
Let the patch cool down and check if the patch is stuck by gently rubbing a finger over the edge. If it still comes up, put the baking paper back and place the iron again and push, now for about 10 seconds.
- Washing and drying a garment with patches.
Always wash the garment with the patch at a maximum of 40 degrees and inside out. Please note that the garment with the patch cannot be tumble dried.
Enjoy your purchase!
For large patches, iron both sides over the entire surface for about 60 seconds and it is wise to sew the patch at the corners for extra good attachment.
You can also attach our patches by sewing at any time
The easiest way is to iron them in place and then sew them in place
